TRIP TO ISLA ARENA
A boat tour to visit nearby Isla Arena is a great day trip and a most memorable experience for families where you can learn about crocodiles and the important role that this island played in Prehispanic times. As well as the visit to the island guests will enjoy a snorkeling experience in a fresh water spring. Isla Arena is an island that has few inhabitants but played an important role in the history of this area. This tour is a full day excursion with an English speaking guide. You will depart from Casa de Celeste Vida at 8:30 am by boat to the small fisherman’s village of Isla Arena. Time spent beachcombing for seashells and searching for pieces of ancient pottery at Punta Can Balam. Tour of Isla Arena town before transferring to car for trip to ‘El Remate’ fresh water spring for snorkeling. Enjoy a lunch break before heading to the crocodile farm where you get hands on experience. Return to Celestun @ approximately 3:00.
